The EFJ is openThe Board of Directors of the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica announces the appointment of Mrs. Joan Grant-Cummings as Chief Executive Officer. Mrs. Grant-Cummings holds a BSc. (Honours) in Biology from the University of Ottawa, Canada and as a Commonwealth Scholarship Recipient is completing a MSc. in Water and Environmental Management. Mrs. Grant-Cummings is the volunteer Chair of the Commonwealth Foundation’s Civil Society Advisory Committee which represents civil society organizations in 53 Commonwealth Countries. She is a member of the IDB Civil Society Advisory Committee and is the Caribbean Regional Co-ordinator for Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN). Mrs. Grant-Cummings has over 18 years experience in management and leadership positions and has received a number of awards recognizing her work, including the Young Women’s Christian Association (Canada) Women of Distinction Award. She is a proud past student of St Hugh’s High School, is married to Everton and has a son, Khiry.
