Assessment of the Contribution of Civil Society to the National and
Global Agenda for Sustainable Development

JCDT was awarded $761,200 to support a forum for civil society to inform themselves of their contribution to sustainable development nationally; and to assess this contribution against requirements for implementation of Agenda 21. Activities included the collection and analysis of information on the contribution of Jamaican Civil Society to Sustainable Development; production of information for the Jamaica National Report for WSSD 2002; and a national workshop to address the new challenges and opportunities that have emerged since 1992.
