| Urban Parks and Green Spaces Green spaces in urban areas provide aesthetic, recreational and sociological functions in community life. They are critical to contributing to the well-being of cititzens. The project will evaluate the main urban centres with the purpose
of assessing existing green spaces to determine the need for redevelopment.
Currently work is being done in A green space of national importance containing memorials to the National Heroes, the national monument and large recreational space. Royal Botanic Gardens, Hope A green space with historical and cultural significance for Jamaicans. The best known community space in Kingston for relaxation which also serves a significant role in education, scientific research and biodiversity conservation. |
