Call for Proposals

The EFJ Call for Proposals from the deadline date for receipt of proposals to notification re approval or non-approval is estimated to take at least 16 weeks. When the Call is issued applicants have an 8-week period within which to submit Proposals. After the 8-week deadline date proposals will no longer be accepted. After receipt of the proposals the EFJ Secretariat does initial screening, proposal reviews, site visits, presentation of proposals to the Grant Management Committee which then makes recommendations to the Board re approval or non-approval all within the stated 16 week period. Receipt and Appraisal of proposals involves a four-phase process:

1. Receipt Notification - Applicants will be notified of receipt of proposals.
2. Screening - to determine
   • If the proposal fits within the theme(s) of the call, and
   • If the applicant organization is eligible for funding.
3. Review - to determine suitability for recommendation by the Grant Management Committee.
4. Approval by the Board of Directors.

Applicants will be informed on the status of proposals at the end of a 16-week process. Call 2010 Information and Forms
